Playing Catch-up

Hi there!!

Remember me??

Yes, I know, I've been horribly neglectful. I hope you'll forgive me.

So did you see that picture down there? Yes, we did it. We got married. It was *perfect*. Just a few people, in a park by the water, on a gorgeous spring day. Then we stole away for a short, but perfect, honeymoon in Toronto.

The wedding was small, so we are planning a big reception in September. That's been one of the things keeping me busy. Our social calendar has been crammed lately, too, and it's stressing me out a little bit. (But I am by no means complaining!!)

In non-wedding related news:

The kitten is growing like a bloody weed. She is into EVERTHING. She is teething, so anything she can chew on is fair game. She is rowdy, and jumps on all the other cats, whether they are interested in playing with her or not. She is fearless, and curious, and tireless. Last night I caught her pulling tissues out of the Kleenex box, and shredding them.

Trifle is doing well. There hasn't been a whole lot of coughing lately, and she's even off her medication. We hope this means the lung disease is somewhat stable, and not progressing.

Trifle still wants to eat the kitten, which means that we can't have both of them here at the same time. We've resolved that little issue by 'pet swapping' with gramma. When the dog is here, the kitten stays with my mom. When we bring the kitten home, the dog goes to gramma's. I think it's working out rather well. Trifle *loves* being with her gramma, and doesn't seem to mind going back and forth every few days. Casino could care less where she is, I think, as long as she has plenty of things to disrupt. I don't believe either of them is any worse for wear by going back and forth, and honestly, if Mom wasn't able to help us out like this, then Casino would have to go somewhere to be fostered until she was big enough. This way she has still integrated herself into our cat family, and is also still safe from Trifle. Best of both worlds, I think.

Hrm. My husband (Hah! I can say that now! legally!) is now asleep beside me, so I think I should put away the laptop and call it a night, no? Yes, I think it's about that time. I'll have to fill you in on my hellish surgery next time.

Have a good night, all.
