Sunrise, above the river

Sunrise, above the river

Lately I've taken to stopping to take photographs on the way to work. The sunrises at this time of year are particularly beautiful to me. So much colour, and I love the cloud formations. There's a restaurant on the way to work, and it's high up on a hill overlooking the river. I can swing in to their parking lot, and take shots like this without even getting out of my car.

I've been too busy to blog. (Like always, it seems.) We had our windows replaced, which meant packing up a ton of our stuff until they were done. The amount of dust flying around was incredible. It's still all around, too. In drawers, and cupboards. I've basically had to vacuum or wipe down every single thing we own. All that dust floating in the air made it hell on my asthma last week. I've barely been sleeping, so I'm really glad it's Friday, because I'm just about out of steam.

The kitten got her one good arm stuck under the fridge somehow this morning, and screeched like someone was sticking a fork in her eye. It was *horrible*. I stuck her on the bed with daddy, and she curled up into a little sucky purry ball. I do love that girl.

All the other critters are well. Mozart, at 22 1/2 years old, is still going strong. Every morning I go look in her room and am surprised to see her alive. Every night when I get home from work and check on her, again I'm a bit surprised. She is an incredibly hearty old cat, and I don't know how she keeps going.

Oktoberfest starts next week. Already. Cripes, I'm almost getting too old for this, I think. I'm worried about how I'm going to stay awake past 2 am! The one thing I'm going to thoroughly hate is that I can't have my camera with me during my shifts there. There is so much worth documenting!

I must get to work. My day is going to be busy, I'm sure, as most Fridays are.

Hope you all are well!
